The evening program begins at 8PM at Nova Southeastern University’s Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography Campus (8000 N Ocean Drive, Dania Beach).

We will gather everyone in the 3rd floor auditorium of the Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center building. A 45 minute educational presentation will be followed by the release of hatchlings after 9PM. After the presentation, everyone will drive down to North Hollywood Beach to observe the hatchlings and wish them well as they make their journey to the ocean.

FMAS will be subsidizing your tickets! Ticket prices are normally $10 per person, but will cost you only $5 per person. (FMAS will be paying the other $5 for you)

You must be a current FMAS  member to buy these subsidized tickets.

This money is a donation directly to the sea turtle program, therefore no refunds will be given out for any reason. Preregistration  and prepayment are required, no walk-ins are accepted.

There is a maximum of 50 people allowed per release, once 50 people are reached for a date that date will close.

No artificial lights, cameras, or video equipment are permitted at the release site. The hatchling releases take place under darkness. Only authorized staff will have red LED flashlights to use periodically.

There is no guarantee that hatchlings will be observed on any given night. The hatchling releases run by Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program are subject to change or cancellation if weather conditions are not favorable. We will do our best to accommodate and reschedule due to a cancellation, but there are no guarantees.
