Our first event of the year is Bowling For Fish! This is a members only event and is well worth the price of your membership! Please, if you are not already a member, join now or at the event. If you are already a member and have not renewed for 2012, please be sure and do that also. If you want to bring the family with you, you will need to have a family membership. For only $10 more a year, it is well worth it.

If you have never been before, we will all meet up at the Bowling Alley, split up into groups of six, grab big heavy balls and throw them at white pins at the end of really slippery lanes. A computer will keep track of how bad we are at this. All joking aside, it is a lot of fun! You can also let us know if you are an experienced bowler or not and it will help us to assemble the groups.

There will be lots of prizes!!!!!

So….time to renew!!!!!!!

We have lots of exciting events planned for members this year. I will be posting on a separate thread the January meeting. If nothing else watch for the raffle. For $1, you could win a $450 item.

Reminder, you do not need to be a member to come to our meetings, but you DO need to be a member to participate in our raffles, participate in Field Trips, or attend the FMAS Frag swap scheduled for this Spring (date to be announced soon).

Our first Field trip is being ironed out as we speak: Our yearly Bowling for Fish. If you’ve never participated not only do you get to bowl for a few hours for a nominal fee (usually $5 including shoes), but lots of raffle items are always available, as well as prizes. Stay tuned for final details coming soon.

We aslo have a few Miami meetings planned for Miami at the Museum of Science.

Speaker: Our very own Rogger Castells. Rogger has been a reefkeeper for over 30 years. He has spoken at a few MACNA’s and is a very active member of FMAS.

His speech is titled: Reef Tank Pests and how to get rid of them!!!
