Join us for this years Turtle Walk (formerly know as Turtle Release) on Wednesday, July 28th at John U. Lloyd State Park located at 6503 N. Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, Florida 33004 (954) 923-2833. Admission to the park is $6.00 per car or $4.00 for an individual person driving. The event cost is $5.00 per person. This event is limited to 30 to 35 FMAS members and their families. The PayPal link will be closed once we reach the maximum capacity.

We will meet at the Sea Grape Pavilion. Please bring insect repellent and a small chair or blanket for the beach. Dress appropriately as if for a hike – walking shoes, long pants, etc. No flash photography.

Ken Nedimyer Dive Trip August 7-8, 2010 – R.S.V.P. – No Later Than July 24, 2010

This is more than a trip, it’s an excursion to work with Ken Nedimyer, the founder of the Coral Restoration Foundation, to learn more about coral restoration and get some hands on experience. This trip includes presentations by Ken and will center around moving some of Ken’s nursery grown corals to a restoration site. The dives will involve preparing corals for transplanting, surveying the new transplant site, and finally moving these new healthy corals into their new home.

Please RSVP - No Later Than July 24, 2010 that you are able to attend by contacting Eddie Soler vicepresident@fmas1955.org and Instructor O’Brien at aquanauts@bellsouth.net so he may prepare the equipment necessary and reserve selected date(s). Thank you!

Our next FMAS Group Event CORAL RESTORATION FOUNDATION EVENT to accommodate a CRF FRAG & PLANT EDUCTION and BOAT DIVES during the busy summer calendar will be August 07-08 on Rainbow Reef Dive Charters. Please be aware discounts% on Rental Equipment will be available for FMAS members. Purchase of Trip Ticket will include CRF Donation and Boat Dives on the CRF Dive Site with Weights and x2 Tanks. Please be advised each day is a separate activity and boat trip ticket. Your support in revitalizing our living reefs is an active participation in support with Coral Restoration Foundation.
